Camille is the writer of and a performer in Girl World. Camille has dedicated herself to creating original theatre pieces, carving out an interdisciplinary, absurdist and comedic style. She is motivated by a desire to create pieces that simultaneously entertain, surprise, and provoke thought in its audiences. She was also a founder and performer for Tight Theatre. Their production PUSSY performed at The Pleasance London, Bristol Old Vic and Camden People’s Theatre, amongst others. Camille studied Theatre and Film at Bristol University and has since worked as a performer, writer and facilitator with many arts companies of varying disciplines including Emergency Exit Arts, Blue Mouth Inc, Cardboard Citizens and A-Line Art.

Franklin is the composer and lyricist for Girl World, a creative avenue he has welcomed for its indulgence of all his most absurd and downrightsilly musical instincts, rarely tolerated in any other arena. Outside of GirlWorld, Franklin is an active participant in the ever evolving and alwaysvibrant south-east London music scene, having played over the yearsin a number of bands, most recently BOSS, his band with Oscar Lane.Other recent collaborative projects include the NSDF award winningHe, She They, which Franklin performed in with Oscar in 2017.
Ranya El-Refaey is the designer that birthed the playful, absurd and surreal aesthetic of Girl World. Having recently graduated from Wimbledon College of Arts studying Theatre Design, Ranya has designed, produced and collaborated on a variety of shows. Since graduating Ranya has worked as an assistant to different Set designers working in installation and fashion as well as pursuing her own freelance practice, including two shows at the Lyric Hammersmith and Vault’s Festival. Ranya’s love for installation artists and immersive theatre experiences work hand-in-hand with the girl-world style. Girl Word is extremely close to Ranya’s heart due to its pop-tastic, DIY, riot grrl nature and female-focused narrative.
Rebecca is an award-winning theatre director and is the director of Girl World. She is an Alumni Artist of the Gate Theatre and previously Director in Residence at the Almeida Theatre. Her verbatim play Travesti won a Fringe First and Editor's Choice Award. Previous directing credits include: Mary&Maria (Camden People’s Theatre); Iphigenia (Gate Theatre); Lysistrata (Almeida Theatre); Travesti (Pleasance Theatre); Do You Live Alone? (Shoreditch Town Hall); Two Sisters (Southwark Playhouse); One Time Thing (Park Theatre). She was the Associate Director for Glengarry Glenn Ross (UK Tour); Murder Ballad (Arts Theatre) and; East is East (UK Tour).
Oscar both performs in and is the associate musical collaborator of Girl World. He is a musician, producer and performer who has been involved in numerous bands and groups ranging from brass ensembles to jazz groups and rock bands. Oscar started writing for theatre with O Collective’s production of He, She, They which he went on to win an award for at the National Student Drama Festival 2017. He is currently a band member of BOSS, a power trio based in London, and performs as his alter-ego BossOLa in Girl World. Much of Oscar’s work is looking to add further texture and layers to dialogue, to extract more meaning through sound. BossOLa has also collaborated with other art forms such as visual art, dance and spoken word.
Serena, a Newcastle born actress and theatre maker, made her first TV appearance in BBC's Mission 2110 and was recognised as one of the North East's most promising emerging talents. She has been an active member of the National Youth Theatre since 2013 and graduated from drama school in 2017. Recent credits include Wormtown (Customs House / Alphabet Theatre) Newcastle and recent appearances include She and I and No Loitering. Serena has worked with some of the most innovative new writing that the London theatre scene has to offer including Girl World. She has performed in a broad range of plays: from Hamlet, As You Like it to contemporary writings including Modern Dance for Beginners and Joking Apart. As a comedian, Serena has been part of some extraordinary female led events and is looking forward to debuting her new one woman show in Spring this year.
Beth is a producer and performer whose work specifically focuses on feminist and queer production and performance. She became the producer of Girl World after meeting the company in Edinburgh last year, where she also produced 'Pollyanna Cabaret' at Paradise Palms. She wrote, directed and produced her own show 'Make Advena Great Again!' with Camden People’s Theatre and was also a leading role in York Theatre Royal and Pilot Theatre’s feminist production of Everything is Possible in 2017. She is currently the arts programmer for London based chaos creators Bait Theatre and is a company artist for Transform Festival in Leeds, 2019. Most recently, she has started gigging as her drag king character, Peter Stokes, and is looking forward to developing this over the coming year.
